This week: Tampa Bay Championship, Thursday through Sunday, Innisbrook Resort Copperhead Course, Palm Harbor, Fla.
Kelly’s fourth-round score: 4-over-par 75.
Position: Kelly (6-over 290) tied for 63rd, 16 strokes behind winner Kevin Streelman (10-under 274). Moore (10-over 152) missed the cut by eight strokes Friday.
Recap: Not the weekend the Central Kitsap High graduate hoped for (three birdies, seven bogeys, double bogey). And the day started poorly on arguably the easiest hole on the course – the reachable par-5 first hole. After blistering a drive 320 yards down the fairway, he almost whiffed his approach, advancing it just 75 yards and into the right rough. He ended up with a bogey – one of five on the day.
Next: Kelly will be in the field at the Shell Houston Open starting March 28 at Redstone Golf Club in Humble, Texas. Moore and Gig Harbor’s Kyle Stanley are playing in next week’s Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill Club and Lodge in Orlando, Fla.
