This week: Tampa Bay Championship, Thursday through Sunday, Innisbrook Resort Copperhead Course, Palm Harbor, Fla.

Kelly’s second-round score: 1-under-par 70.

Moore’s second-round score: 3-over 74.

Position: Kelly (even-par 142) is tied for 31st, six strokes behind leader Shawn Stefani (6-under 136). Moore (10-over 152) missed the cut by eight strokes.

Recap: Easily Kelly’s best effort so far in 2013. On a course not yielding many low scores – Erik Compton’s 65 was the low round Friday – Kelly is still right in contention. And his play was unspectacular yet effective – 17 pars and one birdie at the par-5 fifth hole (he birdied that hole Thursday as well). He hit a wedge approach on his third shot below the hole, and rolled in an 11-foot putt for his lone birdie. … Moore started his round by making birdie on one of the toughest holes on the course – No. 3 – by hitting a 5-iron approach shot close, and sinking a 6-footer. After that, he made five bogeys – mistakes caused by sub-par chipping and missing putts inside 10 feet.

Kelly’s tee time Saturday: 7:54 a.m. PDT off the first tee.
