This week: Northern Trust Open, Thursday through Sunday, Riviera Country Club, Pacific Palisades, Calif.
Moore’s third-round score: Even-par 71.
Position: Moore (5-under 208) is tied for 12th, seven strokes behind leader Bill Haas (12-under 201). Kelly (10-over 152) missed the cut by eight strokes Friday.
Recap: The Puyallup product needed a round like Haas, his playing partner – a 64 – to seize control of his tournament. Instead, Moore made three bogeys during a four-hole stretch at the turn. And the last one came at one of the most difficult short par-4 holes in golf at No. 10. The tees were moved up Saturday, but Moore’s drive landed in a bunker right of the green. And his second shot landed in another bunker in front of the first one, leading to a bogey. He did birdie both back-nine par 5s to shoot 71, and remain one of the 16 golfers in the field to shoot par of better in each round.
Tee time Sunday: 9:29 a.m. PST off the first tee.
