This week: Humana Challenge, Thursday through Sunday, PGA West Resort (Palmer, Nicklaus, La Quinta CC), La Quinta, Calif.

World rankings: Stanley is 80th, Kelly is 251st and Gonzales is 386th.

2013 season earnings: Stanley at $72,312 (41st on the PGA Tour), Gonzales has made no money and this is Kelly’s first tournament of 2013.

Last tournament: Stanley was the only one of the locals to make the cut at last week’s Sony Open (1-under-par 279), tying for 67th. In three seasons, he has now cashed in 11 of 12 “West Coast Swing” tournaments, and really feels he has an advantage on some of these long-hitters’ layouts. … Gonzales debuted at last week’s Sony Open (4-over 144). This will be his first start at the Humana Challenge. … Kelly purposely chose this tournament as his starting point so he could spend more time at home with his newborn son – Mason Michael Kelly. His residence is also located just a few minutes from the resort. His last PGA Tour start was last year’s McGladrey Classic (3-over 143, missed the cut) in mid-October.

Tee times Thursday: Stanley at 8:40 a.m. PDT off Nicklaus’ No. 10 tee; Gonzales at 8:50 a.m. PDT off Palmer’s No. 10 tee; and Kelly at 10:20 a.m. PDT off Palmer’s No. 10 tee.
