This week: WGC-HSBC Champions, Thursday through Sunday, Mission Hills Golf Club, Olazabal, Guangdong, China.

Fourth-round score: 3-under-par 69.

Position: Stanley (4-over 292) finished tied for 65th. England’s Ian Poulter (65) was the winner at 21-under 267.

Recap: Finally, the Bellarmine Prep product got on a bit of a birdie run Sunday, making four birdies in a five-hole stretch. It also helped that three of those holes were par 5s (Nos. 7, 9, 11). After an early quadruple bogey on a par-5 hole, Stanley finished the tournament 8-under on the par-5 holes. This was the Gig Harbor native’s final PGA Tour start, but will tee it up at the Australian Open in early December.

Next: Hyundai Tournament of Champions starting Jan. 4 to kick off the 2013 season.
