This week: Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, Thursday through Sunday, TPC Summerlin, Las Vegas

Moore’s first-round score: 10-under-par 61.

Kelly’s first-round score: 3-under 68.

Stanley’s first-round score: Withdrew before round began.

Position: Moore is the leader, and Kelly is tied for 29th.

Recap: The sizzling golf continues for Moore, who tied a career-low round shot earlier in the season in the second round of the season-opening Humana Challenge (the 61 is still the low round on the PGA Tour, too). An opening-nine was highlighted by an eagle-2 at the 15th hole (drove the green, sank an 11-foot putt). In fact, he was threatening the magical ’59’ score, but pulled his tee shot on the par-3 eighth – his 17th – and did not get up and down for par, missing a 12-footer. He did finish with a birdie at No. 9. … Kelly also registered an eagle – on the par-5 16th – and was 5-under over his final five holes. … Stanley (strained back) withdrew before his first-round tee time.

Tee times Friday: Kelly at 11:54 a.m. PDT off No. 10, and Moore at 12:03 p.m. PDT off the first tee.
