Ryan Moore at The Tour Championship, 4th Rd.

This week: The Tour Championship, Thursday through Sunday, East Lake Golf Club, Atlanta, Ga.

Fourth-round score: Even-par 70.

Position: Moore (6-under 274) tied for third, four strokes behind winner – and FedEx Cup champion – Brandt Snedeker (270).

Recap: Just a splendid run through the four-tournament playoffs for Moore, who started in 64th – and finished in 11th place in the points (1,105 points), earning a $300,000 bonus. Moore was one of three golfers in the field to shoot par or better in each round on a difficult East Lake GC layout (Snedeker, Bubba Watson are the others). Yet, a

Ryan Moore at The Tour Championship, 3rd Rd.

This week: The Tour Championship, Thursday through Sunday, East Lake Golf Club, Atlanta, Ga.

Third-round score: 5-under-par 65.

Position: Moore (6-under 204) is in third alone, two strokes behind co-leaders Justin Rose and Brandt Snedeker (202).

Recap: The round was set up for something low from the get-go. Moore likes this layout. He was paired with Rickie Fowler for a third consecutive day – with whom he really enjoys playing. And when he gets the putter rolling like he did in the middle of his round, making four consecutive birdies, he can post a good number. In fact, his 65

Ryan Moore at The Tour Championship, 2nd Rd.

This week: The Tour Championship, Thursday through Sunday, East Lake Golf Club, Atlanta, Ga.

Second-round score: Even-par 70.

Position: Moore (1-under 139) is tied for 12th, six strokes behind leader Jim Furyk (7-under 133).

Recap: As stars such as Tiger Woods (73), Hunter Mahan (73) and Steve Stricker (73) backed up Friday, Moore maintained his same overnight position after a 70. He birdied the first hole (wedge approach to 9 feet) to jump into the top 10, but at the holes he bogeyed – Nos. 4, 14 and 16 – twice his drives landed in fairway bunkers, and the other

First-round score: 1-under-par 69.

Position: Moore is tied for 12th, three strokes behind co-leaders Justin Rose and Tiger Woods (66).

Recap: Before most of the field teed off, Moore held an early three-stroke lead with birdies on three of his first four holes. Then the challenging par-4 holes reeled the Cascade Christian graduate for bogeys at No. 5 (drive in right rough), No. 7 (drive in left rough), No. 10 (approach shot in front greenside bunker) and No. 13 (approach shot went over the green). He’ll take it as he goes to the final event of the playoffs for the first time since 2010. “It has worked out to my benefit a couple times,”
