Brandon Kearney cooled off a bit Tuesday, but still managed a 1-under-par 71 to maintain a two-stroke lead at the midway point of the Northwest Open at Wine Valley Golf Club in Walla Walla.

Kearney, an assistant professional at Bend Golf and Country Club in Oregon, is at 10-under 134. Rainier Golf and Country Club’s Darren Black (66) and Manitou Golf and Country Club’s Corey Prugh (67) are tied for second place at 136.

Puyallup’s Derek Barron also made a move, shooting a 68, and is tied for fourth with amateur Mark Strickland at 137.
