This week: PGA Tour’s Reno-Tahoe Open, Thursday through Sunday, Montreux Golf and Country Club, Reno, Nev.

World ranking: 170th.

2012 earnings: $740,444 (101st on the PGA Tour).

Last tournament: One more high finish. That is what the Tacoma resident has to be thinking heading down the home stretch. If he can notch another top-15 effort – and eclipse $800,00 for the season – that will guarantee his PGA Tour card for next season (even though he is already in good shape). After he missed the cut at the British Open (8-over 148) on July 22, he pulled out of last week’s Canadian Open after playing five tournaments over the past six weeks. The Reno tournament was one of the three events he made the cut in during his first go-round on the PGA Tour in 2009, tying for 51st.

Tee time Thursday: 8:17 a.m. PDT off the 10th tee.
