Kent’s Sean McMullen, a Kentridge High product who just completed one season at Green River Community College, was one of the three qualifiers to play in next week’s prestigious Sahalee Players Championship in Sammamish.
McMullen, headed to the University of Idaho next season, and Canadian Zach MacDougall each shot 1-under-par 71 at The Home Course on Monday to earn the final two spots. Oregon golfer Nigel Lett, who is headed to UNLV, was the medalist at 69.
Enumclaw’s Tyler Salsbury shot 72, and is the first alternate to the tournament, which begins July 4 at Sahalee Country Club.
