This week: Travelers Championship, Thursday through Sunday, TPC River Highlands, Cromwell, Conn.

Stanley’s first-round score: Even-par 70.

Moore’s first-round score: 2-over 72.

Kelly’s first-round score: 5-over 75.

Putnam’s first-round score: 8-over 78.

Position: Stanley is tied for 58th, Moore is tied for 87th, Kelly is tied for 135th and Putnam is tied for 149th – all trailing leader David Mathis (64).

Recap: On a course where scores of 62, 63 and 64 are commonplace, none of the locals could cash in on a warm, humid day Thursday. Considering how Stanley has been playing the past three months, opening at even-par wasn’t half bad. After two early bogeys, he drove the green in two shots at the sixth and 13th holes, and made birdies. … It was an up-and-down round for Moore (six bogeys, four birdies), which included bogeys at two par-5 holes. But he did sink a 61/2-foot putt on No. 18 to finish with birdie. … Kelly recorded a pair of double bogeys, including one at the second hole where he left his third shot at the par 4 in a greenside bunker. … Putnam shot 42 on his opening nine holes. Unless he comes up with a low round Friday, he will miss the cut in all four tournaments after his major medical exemption, and play the rest of the season on the Nationwide Tour.

Tee times Friday: Stanley at 4:34 a.m. PDT off the 10th tee; Moore at 5:18 a.m. PDT off the 10th tee; Kelly at 5:51 a.m. PDT off the 10th tee; and Putnam at 10:50 a.m. PDT off the first tee.
