There weren’t too many golfers under-par, but Rainier Golf and Country Club’s Darren Black was one of them, firing a 4-under-par 67 to take the first round lead at the Washington Open Invitational at Glendale Country Club in Bellevue.
Lynden’s Tim Feentra, out of Seattle Golf Club, is the defending champion. He shot a 1-over 72.
I was not there – and won’t be until the final round Wednesday (hopefully with better weather than the field endured Monday … rain, rain and rain!).
