Spending a few extra hours in the hotel in Atlanta this morning after a long, exhilarating day at the Masters – one that ended in Bubba Watson winning a two-hole playoff over Louis Oosthuizen.

* On Wednesday before the year’s first major starter, TNT readers were given a prediciton: Watson will win the 2012 Masters. Why? Well read the blog entry post.

* Here is my gamer on the exciting finish. Spent the last hour of so on the 18th-hole tower. When it was clear Phil Mickelson was not going to pull out a fourth Masters win, the gallery turned its rooting interest toward Watson (and Matt Kuchar, who played at Georgia Tech).

* Also spent some time talking to a few players on how they will approach new courses, such as Chambers Bay, being in the majors’ rotation. Rule of thumb: Many might get up to University Place in the late spring of 2015 (only Tiger and Phil might come earlier because they do travel on personal jet planes).
