This week: Shell Houston Open, Thursday through Sunday, Redstone Golf Club Tournament Course, Humble, Texas
World rankings: Stanley is 48th, Moore is 68th and Kelly is 387th.
2012 earnings: Stanley has $1.99 million (second on the PGA Tour), Moore has $408,325 (63rd on the PGA Tour) and Kelly has $38,578 (188th on the PGA Tour).
Last tournament: Stanley is coming off a two-week break, and spent the early part of this week at Augusta National preparing for next week’s Masters. His last appearance was a tied-for-51st at the no-cut WGC-Cadillac Championships (even-par 288) on March 11. This week’s event should serve as a worthy primer for his first Masters trip because of the greens. … Is Moore rounding into top form now? His tied-for-fourth showing at the Arnold Palmer Invitational (5-under 283) was encouraging. Some pundits have listed him as one to watch this week in not only a pursuit for his second PGA Tour title, but a spot at the Masters for a third consecutive season. If only the putter is willing. … Kelly missed the cut at the Puerto Rico Open (5-over 149), and did not see any action on the tour’s Florida swing. Like Moore, if he won this week, he would earn an automatic Masters invitation.
Tee times Thursday: Moore at 5:30 a.m. PDT off the first tee; Kelly at 7:10 a.m. PDT off the 10th tee; and Stanley at 10:50 a.m. PDT off the first tee.
