Stanley getting full look at Augusta National

Sure, Gig Harbor’s Kyle Stanley played Augusta National Golf Club when he was a youngster at Clemson University – and came nowhere close to breaking par even in a casual round.

And during some down time, he made a visit to the famed Masters venue earlier in March.

But the Bellarmine Prep product is ramping up his preparation for the year’s first major championship – and his first Masters showing – even before the tournament kicks off April 5.

Putnam’s return to tournament golf: ‘Good signs’

On the schedule, it was a tournament – the Chitimacha Louisiana Open on the Nationwide Tour.

His 2-under-par 140 missed the cut by two strokes.

But making the cut wasn’t really the point this week anyway. Getting instant feedback on how his wrist felt was.

“Wrist felt great. Knocking the rust off in my game is still going to be a
