This week: Honda Classic, Thursday through Saturday, PGA National Champion Course, Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
World rankings: Stanley is 48th, and Moore is 66th.
2012 earnings: Stanley has $1.94 million (No. 1 on the PGA Tour), and Moore has $188,038 (76th on the PGA Tour).
Last tournament: Going one round in the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championships (a 2-and-1 win over K.J. Choi) jumped Stanley, the Bellarmine Prep graduate, into the top 50 in the world rankings, and landed him a spot at next week’s no-cut WGC-Cadillac Championship in Miami, Fla. He also left the West Coast schedule swing with the lead in money and FedEx Cup playoff points (935). A year ago, he held the lead at the midway point of the Honda Classic before shooting rounds of 74 and 75 on the weekend, tying for 24th. … Moore wants to play to give himself every opportunity to play in the Masters next month. And after just being nudged out for the WGC-Accenture Match Play event as the first alternate, he had last week off, but added the Honda Classic for the first time since 2009 (missed the cut at 8-over 148). He tied for 17th two weeks ago at the Northern Trust Open at 1-under 283 – a season-best.
Tee times Thursday: Stanley at 4:30 a.m. PST off No. 10 tee; and Moore at 5:10 a.m. PST off No. 1 tee.
