Stanley’s second-round score: 4-under-par 68 on the South Course.
Kelly’s second-round score: Even-par 72 on the South Course.
Moore’s second-round score: 4-under 68 on the North Course.
Position: Stanley (13-under 131) leads by one stroke over Brandt Snedeker. Kelly (4-under 140) is tied for 41st, and Moore (1-under 143) missed the cut by one stroke.
Recap: Stanley grabbed the outright lead when he got up and down from 40 yards out on the par-5 ninth hole for a final birdie to shoot 68. In fact, the Bellarmine Prep birdied all four par-5 holes on the long and testy South Course. He had four birdies and no bogeys on his final nine holes (Nos. 1, 5, 6, 9). … It will be back-to-back cuts made for Kelly after his steady 72 on the South Course. He made consecutive bogeys at the 14th and 15th holes after approach shots in greenside bunkers, but chipped in for a birdie from behind the 16th green from 25 feet. … Moore rallied for five birdies in seven holes on his final nine, but came up just short.
Tee times Saturday: Kelly at 7:35 a.m. PST off South No. 10 tee, and Stanley at 9:45 a.m. PST off South No. 1 tee.
Next for Moore: Waste Management Phoenix Open starting Thursday at TPC Scottsdale in Arizona.
