This week: PGA Tour’s Farmers Insurance Open, Thursday through Sunday, Torrey Pines North and South Courses, San Diego.

Stanley’s first-round score: 10-under-par 62 on the North Course.

Kelly’s first-round score: 4-under 68 on the North Course.

Moore’s first-round score
: 3-over 75 on the South Course.

Position: Stanley shares the lead with Spencer Levin, who also shot 62 on the North Course. Kelly is tied for 26th, and Moore is tied for 129th.

Recap: Last week, it was Moore who fired a career-low 61 at the Humana Challenge. And on Thursday, it was Stanley’s turn to post a career-best score. He surged early (four birdies in first five holes) and late (7-under over his final seven holes), including an eagle on the finishing par-5 18th where he hit an 8-iron approach to within 3 feet. … Kelly also finished with an eagle on the ninth hole of the North Course to cap a 4-under final-nine score. … The South Course, site of the 2008 U.S. Open, is a tougher layout. Most of the high scores came on the PGA Tour’s longest course. Moore’s issues came in a three-hole span on the front nine at No. 7 (drive in left bunker led to bogey at par 4), No. 8 (tee shot landed in bunker in front of par-3 green, leading to double bogey) and No. 9 (took four shots to hit the par-5 green) where he finished 4-over.

Tee times Friday: Kelly at 9:20 a.m. PST off South Course No. 1; Moore at 9:30 a.m. PST off North No. 10; and Stanley at 10:10 a.m. PST off South No. 10.
