This week: PGA Tour’s Sony Open, Thursday through Sunday, Waialae Country Club, Honolulu.

World rankings: Stanley is 148th, and Kelly is 344th.

2010 earnings: Stanley had $1.52 million (55th on the PGA Tour), and Kelly had $248,064 (11th on the Nationwide Tour).

Last season: Stanley was part of arguably the best PGA Tour rookie class of the past couple of decades. And while eight of his counterparts won tournaments, the Bellarmine Prep product was remarkably consistent – making 22 cuts in 28 appearances. And he was the highest-rated rookie in the tour’s all-around ranking (11th). Last year, he tied for 68th at the Sony Open. … This will be Kelly’s second go-round on the PGA Tour. He made three of 17 cuts in the 2009 season, eventually losing his card. But his hot start on the Nationwide Tour last season essentially clinched a PGA Tour spot by mid-June with a tied-for-second finish at the Rex Hospital Open. Kelly did make the cut at the Sony Open in 2009.

Tee times Thursday: Stanley at 10 a.m. PST off the 10th tee, and Kelly at 11:30 a.m. PST off the 10th tee.
