This week: The Greenbrier Classic, Thursday through Sunday, The Old White TPC, White Sulphur Springs, W.Va.

Gonzales’ second-round score: 4-over-par 74.

Stanley’s second-round score: 5-over 75.

Putnam’s second-round score: Withdrew after 11 holes.

Position: Stanley (1-over 141) is tied for 61st – eight strokes behind co-leaders Brendon de Jonge and Webb Simpson (133).

Recap: Not a good showing by the local products. Stanley bogeyed half of his first six holes, then ended his round with a double bogey on the 18th hole when he hit his tee shot way right – and took two shots to get it on the green from there. … Gonzales was right on the cut line (141) until he bogeyed the 16th and 17th holes after hitting drives into the water hazards. … Putnam withdrew after making a bogey at the second hole, 2-over on his round, with an injured wrist.

Stanley’s tee time Saturday: 5:51 a.m. PDT with Jimmy Walker.

Next for Gonzales, Putnam: Reno-Tahoe Open starting Thursday at Montreux Golf and Country Club in Reno, Nev.
