Famed golf instructor Brian Mogg will be a frequent visitor to his hometown – Tacoma – this summer.

After it was announced last fall that the Lakes High graduate and former Ohio State All-American would open a Mogg Performance Center at Chambers Bay Golf Links, appearance dates were set last week.

Mogg, who is headquartered in Orlando, Fla., will conduct his first series of half-day lessons June 4-5. Other dates include June 18-19, July 8, July 30-31, Aug. 27-28 and Sept. 17-18.

Cost per person of each 31/2-hour session is $350, which also includes a voucher for a round of golf at the 2015 U.S. Open site.

“The Northwest has never had a golf school. It has never been an option,” said Mogg, a renowned top-100 instructor in the world who teaches former PGA Championship winner Y.E. Yang, as well as PGA Tour veteran D.A. Points. “Here, we come to you … and I want to lay the foundation for this school, and make myself available as much as possible.”

Other teaches expected to assist Mogg include Chambers Bay teaching professional Brent Zepp, and former PGA Tour player Ken Still, of Fircrest.

To inquire about school availability, or sign up for a session, contact Zepp at (253) 460-4653, ext. 114 or
