This week: PGA Tour’s Zurich Classic of New Orleans, Thursday through Sunday, TPC Louisiana, Avondale, La.

Putnam’s second-round score: 1-over-par 73.

Gonzales’ second-round score: 1-over 73.

Stanley’s second-round score: 2-over 74.

Position: Stanley (3-over 147), Putnam (4-over 148) and Gonzales (8-over 152) all missed the cut. Bubba Watson is the leader at 10-under 134.

Recap: It is three missed cuts in a row for the locals … and counting. Stanley was 2-under on his round early before running into issues greenside at the par-5 seventh, leading to double bogey. And on the finishing par-5 hole, he put his approach in a pond behind the green, leading to a final bogey. … Putnam also got off to a hot start (2-under through three holes), but ran into trouble at the turn with back-to-back bogeys at the 17th and 18th holes, then started his second nine with a drive that went out-of-bounds, leading to a double bogey. … Gonzales made 16 pars in his second round – not exactly what he wanted after opening with a 79.

Next: Putnam, Stanley and Puyallup’s Ryan Moore are in the field at the Wells Fargo Championship starting Thursday at Quail Hollow Golf Club in Charlotte, N.C.
