This week: PGA Tour’s The Heritage, Thursday through Sunday, Harbour Links Golf Links, Hilton Head Island, S.C.

World rankings: Stanley is 313th, and Putnam is 320th.

2011 earnings: Stanley has $315,071 (93rd on the PGA Tour), and Putnam has $135,532 (151st on the PGA Tour).

Last tournament: So, after Stanley missed the cut at last week’s Valero Texas Open (9-over-par 153), would it be fair to say the Bellarmine Prep graduate has hit his first mini-slump? Seven of his past 10 rounds have been over par, including a season-worst 78 in the first round last week (albeit under heavy winds). These next few days might tell a lot as Stanley, who resides in Sea Island, Ga. and played college golf at Clemson, is playing almost a home event. … Putnam, of Life Christian, might be wondering “what if” this week, too. He was in position to make a hefty paycheck last week before faltering on the final nine holes Friday to miss the cut at the Texas Open (7-over 151), settling for a second-round 80. He got into this event when Tom Gillis (undisclosed reason) withdrew Monday.

Tee times Thursday: Putnam at 6 a.m. PDT off the 10th tee, and Stanley at 10:30 a.m. PDT off the first tee.
