This week: PGA Tour’s Farmers Insurance Open, Thursday through Sunday, Torrey Pines North and South Courses, San Diego

World rankings: Stanley is 357th, Putnam is 363rd and Gonzales is 856th.

2011 earnings: Stanley has $43, 645 (66th on the PGA Tour), Putnam has $10,100 (129th on the PGA Tour) and Gonzales has yet to play in an event.

Last tournament: Stanley, the Bellarmine Prep product, is 2-for-2 in cuts made as a PGA Tour rookie, including his tied-for-29th finish at last week’s Bob Hope Classic (18-under 342). He is averaging five birdies per round, which ranks No. 30 on tour. … Putnam, out of Life Christian Academy, finished tied for 68th at the Bob Hope (11-under 349). He’s been out on the practice range the past couple of days working on his driving – he’s hitting only half of the fairways (50 percent, ranks 150th). He has made the cut both times at this event. … Word out of San Diego is Gonzales’ hair and beard have grown to villainous lengths, and that he’s champing at the bit to make his 2011 debut. He was the first alternate, but got in when Steve Elkington withdrew early in the week.

Tee times Thursday: Putnam at 9:20 a.m. PST off the first tee at Torrey South; Gonzales at 10:30 a.m. PST off the first tee at Torrey South; and Stanley at 10:30 a.m. PST off the 10th tee at Torrey North.
