This week: PGA Tour’s Bob Hope Classic, Wednesday through Sunday, PGA West Nicklaus, PGA West Palmer, La Quinta CC and Silver Rock Golf Courses, La Quinta, Calif.

Putnam’s fourth-round score: 3-under-par 69 at Silver Rock.

Stanley’s fourth-round score: 1-under 71 at PGA West Nicklaus.

Position: Stanley (13-under 275) is tied for 45th, and Putnam (11-under 277) is tied for 61st – all trailing co-leaders Jhonattan Vegas and Gary Woodland (264).

Recap: Even though this is a five-round tournament, Saturday is still “moving day” on the PGA Tour. And while others did, Stanley fell back 28 spots – starting with a double bogey on the 10th hole. … At the turn, Putnam was outside the cut-line, but rallied with four back-nine birdies – including one at the finishing par-5 hole to make his first cut in 2011.

Tee times Sunday: Stanley at 9:45 a.m. PST off the 10th tee at PGA West Palmer with D.A. Points and David Toms, and Putnam at 10:35 a.m. PST off the 10th tee at PGA West Palmer with Matt Bettencourt and Fabian Gomez.
