Recap: In the field as a former Ben Hogan Award winner, Stanley – a Nationwide Tour regular from Gig Harbor – is making the most of his appearance on the PGA Tour this week. His 3-iron approach from 231 yards nestled close on the par-5 first hole, and he canned a 6-foot eagle putt. He made three more birdies on the back nine. … After three early birdies, Moore was right below the cut-line. The Puyallup golfer then strung together 10 pars in a row before making a bogey at the par-4 seventh, failing to get up-and-down with a chip from 30 feet.
Stanley’s tee time Saturday: 9:07 a.m. PDT with K.J. Choi.
Next for Moore: The Memorial Tournament starting Thursday at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio.
