This week: PGA Tour’s Quail Hollow Championship, Thursday through Sunday, Quail Hollow Club, Charlotte, N.C.

World ranking: 53rd.

2010 earnings: $628,933 (50th on the PGA Tour).

Last tournament: The man from Puyallup took a well-deserved, two-week break after his tied-for-14th finish at the Masters earlier this month (2-under-par 286). He has now made the cut in each of his three appearances at Augusta National Golf Club. And now Moore tees it up against one of the best non-major fields this season (No. 1 Tiger Woods and No. 2 Phil Mickelson are playing this week). At this event, Moore missed the cut last season (1-over 145), and in 10 career rounds there has never broken 70. He comes to Charlotte this week ranked No. 1 in total driving on tour.

Tee time Thursday: 5 a.m. PDT off the 10th tee with Fred Couples and Greg Kraft.
