This week: PGA Tour’s Bob Hope Classic, Wednesday through Monday, PGA West Nicklaus and Palmer Courses, SilverRock Resort and La Quinta CC, La Quinta, Calif.

Fifth-round score: 3-under-par 69 at Palmer Course.

Position: Moore (22-under 340) finished tied for 10th, eight strokes behind winner Bill Haas (332).

Recap: A low number was out there, evidenced by what Matt Kucher (63) or Haas (64) shot Monday. And that was the Puyallup golfer’s thinking as he stood on the 14th tee, thinking of putting himself in the best position to make an eagle. And his aggressive line off the tee landed in the lake, and he left with a double bogey to fall out of contention. Moore did rally to shoot 69, and was one of 12 men in the field to post all rounds in the 60s this week. His 31 total birdies were fifth in the field, too. He has a pair of top-10 finishes to start his season.

Next: Farmers Insurance Open starting Thursday at Torrey Pines North and South Courses, San Diego.
