This week: PGA Tour’s BMW Championship, Thursday through Sunday, Cog Hill Golf and Country Club, Lemont, Ill.

Second-round score: 1-over-par 72.

Position: Moore (1-over 143) is tied for 35th, eight strokes behind co-leaders Tiger Woods and Mark Wilson (135).

Recap: Too many early bogeys – five of them, in
fact – for the Puyallup golfer, who needs to move up at least 20 spots
to get in position to advance to the final tournament of the FedEx Cup
playoffs, the Tour Championship in Atlanta. Moore had five front-nine
bogeys (Nos. 1, 3, 5, 6, 9), with three of them on holes he played
approach shots out of the sand bunker. He did finish up with three
birdies, including one on a two-putt from 30 feet on the par-5 15th,
the easiest hole on the course.

Tee time Saturday: 7:55 a.m. PDT with Steve Marino.
