This week: PGA Tour’s BMW Championship, Thursday through Sunday, Cog Hill Golf and Country Club, Lemont, Ill.

World ranking: 78th.

2009 earnings: $1,930,577 (29th on the PGA Tour).

Last tournament: After his tied-for-70th finish to
begin the FedEx Cup playoffs, and missing the cut at last week’s
Deutsch Bank Championship (even-par 142), he sits at 48th in the points
– and needs a high finish to get into the Tour Championship in Atlanta.
What will it take? The Moore camp thinks, worst-case, he needs a top-10
finish to secure a spot among the top 30 – and also a berth to the 2010
WGC-CA Championships at Doral Golf Resort. Moore has played this event
once before, in 2007, when he placed tied-for-18th.

Tee time Thursday: 8:36 a.m. PDT off the 10th tee with Bill Haas and Matt Kuchar.
