This week: PGA Tour’s HP Byron Nelson Championship, Thursday through Sunday, TPC Four Seasons Resort Las Colinas, Irving, Texas.

Second-round score: 4-over-par 74.

Position: Kelly (7-over 147) missed the cut, and tied for 143rd. Rory Sabbatini leads at 132.

Recap: A recurring result – some bogeys and not
enough birdies to compensate. Kelly, a Tacoma resident, hit his drive
into a lake on the right side on his first hole (par-4 10th), and
started with a double bogey. He ended up being 6-over for his round
after 11 holes, but rallied with final-nine birdies.

Next: It’s another couple weeks off, but Kelly should make it into the field at the St. Jude Classic starting June 4 in Tennessee.
