Pros take winning streak to 28 in Hudson Cup!

They were slowed down after a day by the amateur golfers at the 60th

Northwest would not be stopped.

Led by Lakewood’s Chris Griffin (assistant pro at Tacoma Country and
Golf Club) and Sumner’s Brian Thornton (pro at Meridian Valley), the
pros won six of the 10 singles’ matches Friday, and kept the trophy in
its grasp for a 28th consecutive year.

Ryan Moore at Frys.com Open, preview

This week: PGA Tour’s Frys.com Open, Thursday through Sunday, Grayhawk Golf Club, Scottsdale, Ariz.

World ranking: 116th.

2008 earnings: $1,214,900 (81st on the PGA Tour).

Last tournament: A tied-for-24th finish at last

newly-found commitment to conditioning by shooting rounds in the 60s in
five of the past six rounds. But Moore dropped almost 20 spots after he
made a quintruple bogey-9 on the 72nd hole Sunday.

Tee time Thursday: 6:45 a.m. PDT off the 10th tee
