The man traveled all over the American West in his quest to document indigenous peoples before their way of life was subverted.</p> <p><a href="http://www.tpl.lib.wa.us/Page.aspx?nid=62">On Thursday Pulitzer-Prize winning author Timothy Egan will speak about and sign his new book on Curtis at 7 p.m. in the Olympic Room at Tacoma&#8217;s Main Library.</a></p> <p>&#8220;Nights of the Shadow Catcher: The Epic Life and Immortal Photographs of Edward Curtis&#8221; chronicles the stories behind Curtis&#8217;s work.</p> <p>Egan is the best-selling author of six books.
