Sasquatch expands to second weekend in 2014

The quick-to-sell-out Sasquatch Music Festival announced today it will add a second weekend to next year’s festival. The added dates will have a separate lineup from the first weekend.

Next years dates are May 23-25 (Memorial Day weekend) and July 4-6 (Independence Day weekend).

This year’s festival sold out in a record 90 minutes. The popular festival takes place at The Gorge, the concert venue high above the Columbia River Gorge in Quincy.


Pain in the Grass goes on sale Friday

The Pain in the Grass festival moves to The Gorge Amphitheatre, Friday and Saturday, Sept. 6-7 for two days of Alice in Chains, Avenged Sevenfold, Jane’s Addiction and more.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday exclusively through Live Nation.

Presented by 99.9 KISW, Pain also offers up Volbeat, All That Remains and Airbourne, Baroness, Coheed and Cambria and Danko Jones as well as Walking Papers featuring Duff McKagan of Guns N’ Roses and Velvet Revolver. Other artists include: HIM, Circa Survive, Middle Class Rut, New Politics, Attika 7, Heaven’s Basement, Mindset Evolution, and The Chuck Shaffer Picture Show.

John Mayer comes to The Gorge on July 20

John Mayer is breaking his three-year touring hiatus with a stop at the Gorge Amphitheatre on July 20. Tickets go on sale at 9 a.m on Saturday.

Electronica fans: You’ll soon be in Paradiso

Get ready for 12 straight hours of electronica when the Paradiso festival brings Avicii, Afrojack and more to the Gorge Amphitheatre on June 23. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday.

Live Nation just announced the new festival, a joint venture with USC Events. Paradiso promises to be the largest electronic music event ever staged in the Pacific Northwest.

Avicii and Afrojack will headline the main stage. More acts will be announced in the coming weeks. Three stages will be in use from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m.
