Vicci Martinez to perform with Seattle Women’s Chorus

If you missed hometown hero Vicci Martinez’s recent performances at Tacoma’s Jazzbones and Seattle’s Jazz Alley you have another chance to hear her. And this time she’s going to be backed up by a full chorus.

Martinez will perform with the Seattle Women’s Chorus on February 8 in an 8 p.m. show at Benaroya Hall. “Celebrate!” marks the 10th anniversary season for SWC.

Seattle Men’s and Women’s Choruses to perform free concerts in Tacoma and Olympia

The Seattle Men’s Chorus and Seattle Women’s Chorus are performing a series of free concerts in support of approving Referendum 74 which would keep same-sex marriage legal in Washington.

The series called “Voices United for Marriage” includes a show Friday night in Tacoma at the Pantages Theatre and on Sept. 29 in Olympia.

The program will include a 90-minute set of music, stories and speakers.

Some of the songs that will be performed include “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” “Dancing Queen,” “Seal Lullaby,” “Come Live With Me and Be My Love,” and “Livin’ la Vida Loca.”
