The iconic rock band Motley Crue returns to the Tacoma Dome on Aug. 12.
Poison and the New York Dolls will join Motley Crue for the Friday night show. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. this Friday, May 20.
Motley Crue’s 30th anniversary tour will include drummer Tommy Lee’s “360” drum rollercoaster. During his drum solo, Lee will perform while being launched into multiple loops. The band’s set list was chosen by their fans, who voted at Motley.com from a list of every song the Crue has ever recorded.
The band is noted for a bit of local Tacoma history. The Crue is among three bands producing the largest general admission concerts at the Tacoma Dome, according to the Dome website. Motley Crue, The Police and Scorpions placed concerts that each attracted 30,000 fans.
