“Envy,” a young adult (YA) novel by Kitsap County true-crime author Gregg Olsen, could be the next big thing.
Based on a true and deadly case of bullying, “Envy” is set in Port Gamble and follows twin sisters who uncover some terrifying secrets after the supposed suicide of a friend. The paperback edition comes out on Tuesday.
A film adaptation of the novel, which is set in Port Gamble, will start production in fall. It’s been chosen by state librarians to represent Washington at September’s National Book Festival Pavilion of the States.
