KISS and Mötley Crüe coming to White River

Is the White River Amphitheatre big enough to hold them both? KISS and Mötley Crüe just announced they will be performing there on August 18. Tickets go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m.

The two veteran rocker bands are uniting to launch The Tour, playing 40 plus cities nationwide starting July 20.

Florence + the Machine set for July show at White River Amphitheatre

Indie rock-pop band Florence + the Machine announced today that it will make a stop this summer at White River Amphitheatre in Auburn.

The Grammy-nominated group, known for its hits “Dog Days are Over” and “Shake It Out,” will perform at 8 p.m. July 21. Tickets for the show go on sale 10 a.m. Friday (Feb. 24) through Live Nation. According to LiveNation’s website, tickets will cost $29.50-$49.50.

Lil Wayne coming to White River September 4

Lil Wayne has extended his North American summer tour and we’re the beneficiaries. He brings his I Am Still Music tour (with Rick Ross, Keri Hilson, Far East Movement and Lloyd) to White River Amphitheatre on Sunday, September 4. Tickets go on sale Saturday.

The diminutive, Southern-fried rapper (born Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., aka Weezy) just released a single, “6 Foot 7 Foot,” and has his 10th studio album, Tha Carter IV, on its way.

Santana kicks off summer tour Aug. 25 at White River

Carlos Santana and the Santana Band will kick off their summer 2011 Sound of Collective Consciousness Tour of North America Aug. 25 at White River Amphitheatre.

Tickets will go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m.

The tour will feature special guest Michael Franti & Spearhead.

Other tour stops include Rogers Arena in Vancouver, B.C. (Aug. 27); and Reno Events Center in Reno (Sept. 23).

Train and Maroon 5 coming to White River on Sept. 13

Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday for Train and Maroon 5 who will be coming to the White River Amphitheatre Sept. 13 at 7 p.m.

The show by the two Grammy Award-winning groups is part of a 40-date North American tour kicking off July 22 in Houston.

Train is best known for its Grammy-winning song “Drops of Jupiter (Tell Me)” and chart-topping singles “Meet Virginia” and “Calling All Angels.” Train earned their third Grammy earlier this year for “Hey Soul Sister” from its current release “Save Me, San Francisco.”

Heavy metal bands to cause Mayhem this July in Auburn

Tickets go on sale Friday, April 8, for the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival.

The national concert tour lands at the White River Amphitheatre on July 12.

Heavy metal bands Disturbed, Godsmack and Megadeath are the mainstage artists, and will be joined by an assortment of other bands during the tour’s 26 concerts.

Fans who buy a ticket during the three-day pre-sale will save $5 off the price of a pit, reserved or lawn ticket, according to the promoter’s news release. Read more »
