Pitbull will perform at JBLM Thursday

First, the good news: Rapper Pitbull is performing at Joint Base Lewis-McChord on Thursday. Now, the bad news: Forget about seeing him if you don’t have access to the base.

Pitbull, whose real name is Armando Perez, apparently is so big now he has more than one nickname: Mr. 305 and Mr. Worldwide. Whatever you call him he’ll be performing in a free show for JBLM soldiers, airmen and their families (18 and over only).

Pitbull has collaborated with T-Pain, Jennifer Lopez, Ne-Yo, Afrojack and Nayer. He racked up five nominations for this year’s Billboard Music Awards. His single

Puyallup’s Spring Fair starts on Thursday

Music-making and NASCAR are the themes of two new attractions at this weekend’s vernal version of the Puyallup Fair which swings open its gates at 2 p.m. Thursday.

While some of the action is happening only Friday through Sunday there are still plenty of reasons to head over on Thursday. First: admission is free all day to anyone 18 or younger. The Fair just asks that you bring a non-perishable food donation for the Puyallup Food Bank.

Puyallup Fair Schedule is set

The final act has been booked for September’s Puyallup Fair. Sammy Hagar, “Weird Al” Yankovic, Selena Gomez, Amy Grant, Miranda Lambert, Big & Rich, Flaming Lips and much more are on the schedule.
