Current Swell surfs into Jazzbones

Canadian band Current Swell plays Jazzbones June 15. The B.C. based band is a new roots/surf rock group made of actual cold water surfers.

From Current Swell:

The band has toured internationally including Hawaii, Indonesia and Australia (you can watch a video of their Indonesia/Australia tour here) and played shows with the Beach Boys, Bedouin Soundclash, Xavier Rudd and The Beautiful Girls.

After releasing their third album *Protect Your Own*, the band signed to Canada’s Fontana North label and Japan’s Surf Rock Records.

Vicci Martinez plays Morso May 10

She may be busy as Cee Lo Green’s protege on “The Voice” but Vicci Martinez is finding time to play Morso wine bar Tuesday in Gig Harbor.

A long time local and regional fan favorite, the Stadium High alum is now gaining a new country-wide legion of fans from her exposure on the NBC show.

Martinez’s last show at Morso in Janurary sold out. After Tuesday’s show there will be open seating at Morso to watch “The Voice.”

Artifakt at Hell’s Kitchen, Tacoma, tomorrow night

Live music and art show Artifakt comes to Hell’s Kitchen in Tacoma for the first time tomorrow night, featuring indie-rock bands, DJs, the Gritty City Sirens burlesque troupe and local painters.

Here’s the line-up:

Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery announces summer concert season

Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery announced their summer concert season today. Lyle Lovett, Chris Issak, Amos Lee, Chris Botti, The B-52s and even Jeff Bridges (he has a band, who knew?) are just some of the big names coming to the winery in Woodinville this summer.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ticketmaster, the Chateau Ste. Michelle wine shop, or at 800-745-3000.
