Comedian Brian Regan coming to Pantages Sept. 20

Comedian Brian Regan will perform at Broadway Center’s Pantages Theatre on Friday, September 20 in a 7:30 p.m. show. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday.

With his first appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman in 1995, Brian solidified his place on the show and in 2012 he made his 25th appearance, the most of any comedian on the CBS show. Brian has starred in two hour-long Comedy Central specials and released three DVDs and two CDs. His non-stop theater tour has visited more than 80 cities

Counting Crows, The Wallflowers to play Woodinville July 15

Counting Crows and The Wallflowers are coming to Chateau Ste. Michelle in Woodinville on July 15, the bands announced today.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday at Ticketmaster.com and other ticket outlets.

Counting Crows just finished a European and Australian tour and The Wallflowers just came off an arena tour with Eric Clapton.

Bad Company’s Lynn Sorensen to headline Maurice fundraiser

Tacoma record label Maurice the Fish Records is once again hosting a benefit concert for Fish Food Banks of Pierce County. The headliner for the 12-band/two-stage lineup is Bad Company’s Lynn Sorensen.

The event at Louie G’s Pizza in Fife (5219 Pacific Hwy) is on Sunday, June 2 from 3-7 p.m. There is a suggested $10 donation.

Seattle boy Sorensen was a bassist with Bad Company from 2008-2012. His current band is Sex and Violins but he’s also performed with Magic Bus and Spike and the Impalers. He owns and operates a mobile

Selena Gomez to play KeyArena Nov. 12

Selena Gomez will play KeyArena at Seattle Center on November 12, the singer announced today. Tickets go on sale to the general public at noon on Saturday.

Kid Rock will rock the Puyallup Fair on Sept. 22

Kid Rock, one of music’s most varied and hard to classify performers, will bring an official end to summer when he performs at the Washington State Fair in Puyallup on Sept. 22

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Kid Rock, whose music cuts across numerous genres, has sold 27 million albums and is a five-time Grammy Award nominee. His personal life is as interesting as his career choices and includes a marriage to Pamela Anderson, legal troubles and sex tapes. He was a major supporter of Mitt Romney during last year’s presidential campaign.

A concert for a cause nutures young musicians

Ted Brown Music Outreach is hosting a concert on April 28 that features a great lineup of local bands: Freddie & the Screamers (featuring members from The Sonics and The Kingsmen), Sevens Revenge, The Lush Tones and TBM Outreach’s Live It OutLoud alumni bands: Destination Unknown and A Fistful of Dollars.

Ted Brown Music Outreach is a non-profit that provides band instruments to children and teens whose parents can’t afford to buy or rent one. They also sponsor music programs and provide scholarships.
