Bon Jovi is #1 worldwide tour of the year

On Oct. 5 you’ll get a chance to be experience the world’s number one touring band: Bob Jovi.

The band made the top-grossing spot with “BON JOVI Because We Can – The Tour,” according to Pollstar Magazine. The tour will land at the Tacoma Dome on Oct. 5.

The tour, which began in February 2013, has sold out venues around the world, bringing in over $142 million.

The tour features a state-of-the-art production which emulates a larger-than-life classic 1959 Buick Electra. To view the stadium stage production—known as “Sofia”—in action, click:


Frampton, Hagar, Etheridge, Doobies and more are at Tulalip this summer

It’s a summer of stars under the stars at the Tulalip Resort Casino. Six summer concerts in the resort’s outdoor amphitheater will bring a mostly nostalgic but big-name lineup to Tulalip.

Cheap Trick to play State Fair on Sept. 11

They still want you to want them. Venerable rockers Cheap Trick will play the Washington State Fair on Sept. 11. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

Cheap Trick will perform two of their classic albums with an orchestra: At Budokan and Sgt. Pepper Live at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 11.

Tickets are $55, $45, $35, and $25 with reserved seating, and include Fair gate admission, unless noted. You can find tickets starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday on the fair’s website, or by phone 888-559-FAIR (3247) daily, 7 a.m.

The Eagles to play KeyArena Sept. 4

Time to make your reservations at the Hotel California. The Eagles will play KeyArena on Sept. 4 – a stop on their History of the Eagles tour. Tickets go on sale Monday.

The tour kicks off on July 6 in Louisville, Kentucky. The tour was announced last month in conjunction with the release of the band’s documentary, “History of the Eagles,” but the Seattle stop was just added this week.

Broadway Center announces 2013-14 season

The Broadway Center for the Performing Arts announced its 2013-14 season today. Member tickets and multi-show packages are on sale now with single ticket sales starting July 8.

The BCPA will be celebrating its 30th anniversary season with over 40 events coming to Tacoma’s Theater District.

Bad Company’s Lynn Sorensen to headline Maurice fundraiser

Tacoma record label Maurice the Fish Records is once again hosting a benefit concert for Fish Food Banks of Pierce County. The headliner for the 12-band/two-stage lineup is Bad Company’s Lynn Sorensen.

The event at Louie G’s Pizza in Fife (5219 Pacific Hwy) is on Sunday, June 2 from 3-7 p.m. There is a suggested $10 donation.

Seattle boy Sorensen was a bassist with Bad Company from 2008-2012. His current band is Sex and Violins but he’s also performed with Magic Bus and Spike and the Impalers. He owns and operates a mobile

Rock and Roll Never Forgets: Bob Seger to play Tacoma Dome

Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band are coming to the Tacoma Dome on Friday, March 29 for the first leg of their Rock And Roll Never Forgets 2013 Tour. Tickets go on sale Saturday, February 2 at 9 a.m.

The tour will kick off February 27th in Toledo, Ohio. The Tacoma show will include Joe Walsh as a special guest.

Fleetwood Mac coming to Tacoma in May

Fleetwood Mac will perform at 8 p.m. May 20 at the Tacoma Dome, Live Nation announced.

The rock group, best known for hits such as “Dreams,” “Go Your Own Way” and “The Chain,” has reunited for a 2013 tour. Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks are all on board for the 34-city junket.

According to The Associated Press, the band has new songs but isn’t necessarily putting out a new album in 2013. Fleetwood Mac has not released a new album since 2003.
