The Grizzled Mighty play Harmon Tap Room on Saturday

Seattle-based The Grizzled Mighty is hooking up with Tacoma’s Voxxy Vallejo and Cottonwood Cutups at the Harmon Tap Room on Saturday for an 8 p.m. show.

The Grizzled Mighty is a Blues Rock duo made up of lead singer/guitarist Ryan Granger and drummer, Whitney Petty (formerly of Deerhunter). Their style has been compared to The White Stripes, Black Keys and The Kills.

Tacoma band Midnight Salvage launches new CD at Jazzbones tomorrow

Head to Jazzbones this Friday night to catch Tacoma rock/folk band Midnight Salvage Co. launching their debut CD “What You Hope For”, along with guest artists James Coates and China Davis to open. You can hear it here.

The Cave Singers to play The New Frontier March 23

Seattle based The Cave Singers are coming to Tacoma on March 23 at The New Frontier Lounge with Mongrel Blood in an 8 p.m. show.

The Cave Singers released their third studio album, No Witch, last year to much critical praise. The band is led by singer Pete Quirk (Hint Hint) and the guitar work of Derek Fudesco (Pretty Girls Make Graves).

Relix Magazine says The Cave Singers’ “gutbucket blues riffs hit you like a shot of moonshine.”

The 21 and over show is $15.

You might find a new friend at Woofstock

Woofstock, the annual entertainment event that supports pet adoption, is Saturday at UPS’s Todd Field.

Presented by the Dugan Foundation, this year’s event features musical artists Erina McGann, Maya & Matt, Gina Belliveau and Automatic Theory playing indie folk, Celtic, acoustic pop and alternative rock.
