Picture 2It’s time to dust off your thrift shop treasures. The Seattle hip-hop duo of Macklemore and Lewis are returning to their hometown for a Dec. 12 show at KeyArena.

The concert will be the final stop on their fall arena tour. If you want to catch them earlier they’ll kick off the tour in Portland on Oct. 22 and play Spokane on Oct. 23.

The concert will feature special guests Talib Kweli and Big K.R.I.T.

Tickets will be available at 10 a.m. on Friday.

The duo will precede their U.S. tour with an already sold out tour across Europe. Their two nights at the O2 Arena in Dublin sold out in 25 minutes.

In the past year Ben Haggerty (aka Macklemore) and Ryan Lewis have entered the chart topping stratosphere with their hit “Thrift Shop” which currently has 352 million views on YouTube. Before that, while the debate over same-sex marriage was raging in our state, they released their “Same Love” single and video – taking an affirming stance in support of marriage equality.

The pair have gotten a lot of press over the fact they released their debut full-length album, “The Heist,” without the support of a major record label. It shot to No. 1 on iTunes and debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard charts.

Tickets can be purchased at the KeyArena Box Office, Ticketmaster outlets, Ticketmaster.com, or charge by phone toll free at 800-745-3000. All tickets subject to applicable service charges and fees.
