The Gray Sky Blues Music Festival returns this year to downtown Tacoma on Daffodil Sunday.
Once again the festival follows the annual Grand Floral Daffodil Parade on April 13. Best of all: it’s free (except for headliner Franco Paletta and the Stingers.)
Over 12 acts will perform at the event’s live music venues: The Harmon Brewery, The Swiss Restaurant & Pub and Cutters Point Coffee.
And don’t miss the 100-plus hot rods parked outside The Harmon as part of the Rod and Custom Car Show.
The festival’s headliner is Franco Paletta and the Stingers from Portland. They’ll perform at 6 p.m. at The Swiss Restaurant and Pub.
Also of note is youthful Los Angeles-based Chase Walker Band, sponsored by the South Sound Blues Association. In February they opened for BB King in Anaheim. They will take the stage at The Harmon Brewery at 2:30 p.m.
An after-party at Stonegate Pizza in South Tacoma starts at 8:30 p.m. with live blues upstairs and an all-ages jam downstairs.
