Cee Lo Green and Carrie Underwood to heat up State Fair

Cee Lo Green and Carrie Underwood are the latest announced acts for the Washington State Fair in September. Tickets for both shows are now on sale. Green’s show will be on Thursday, Sept. 12 and Underwood will perform the following day.

Green was already well established in the music world with his hit “F— You” when he was made a coach on “The Voice.” There, he mentored Tacoma singer-songwriter Vicci Martinez to national stardom.

Country star Underwood got her start on another TV talent show: “American Idol.”

Rockstar Mayhem Festival returns to White River on July 3

The Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival returns to White River Amphitheatre in Auburn on July 3. Tickets are now on sale.

John Mayer comes to The Gorge on July 20

John Mayer is breaking his three-year touring hiatus with a stop at the Gorge Amphitheatre on July 20. Tickets go on sale at 9 a.m on Saturday.

Gray Sky Blues festival lineup announced

The Gray Sky Blues Music Festival returns this year to downtown Tacoma on Daffodil Sunday.

Once again the festival follows the annual Grand Floral Daffodil Parade on April 13. Best of all: it’s free (except for headliner Franco Paletta and the Stingers.)

Over 12 acts will perform at the event’s live music venues: The Harmon Brewery, The Swiss Restaurant & Pub and Cutters Point Coffee.
