Picture 1It’s a great local line-up. Seattle’s Nine50nine will play Jazzbones on Saturday along with Tacoma’s The Big Wheel Stunt Show and From the Sea.

Nine50nine includes drummer Dave Krusen of Ida Maria (formerly of Pearl Jam), lead guitarist Cameron Brownfield, rhythm guitarist Alan Hunt, bass player Jeremy Lightfoot (Blake Lewis, Satchel) and lead vocalist Ty Willman of Green Apple Quick Step. The group says they are deeply grounded in the blues and cite The Velvet Underground, The Smiths, Bob Dylan and The Rolling Stones as influences.

The Big Wheel Stunt Show is a Tacoma rock and blues band. The band is made up of guitarist Evan Nagle, bassist Jake Melius and drummer Justin Gimse. “Tacoma’s Hardest Working Band” plays a lot of gigs and has garnered much critical praise.

Also on the bill is another Tacoma band: From the Sea. The band is a family of musicians: Brothers Dave and Dan Moore, their cousin Craig Saner and friend Jon Thorn. According to their bio they use “piano, synth, strings and four part vocal harmonies to a palette of heavy, crunching guitars, pounding bass and thundering drums.”

The 8 p.m. 21+ show is $7 advance and $10 at the door. Here’s where you can buy tickets.
