If you missed hometown hero Vicci Martinez’s recent performances at Tacoma’s Jazzbones and Seattle’s Jazz Alley you have another chance to hear her. And this time she’s going to be backed up by a full chorus.

Martinez will perform with the Seattle Women’s Chorus on February 8 in an 8 p.m. show at Benaroya Hall. “Celebrate!” marks the 10th anniversary season for SWC.

Here’s more from the announcement:

Highlighting some fantastic musical divas from the past few decades, Seattle Women’s Chorus will give audiences a curtain-to-curtain celebration that is sure to bring the house down. The selected songs are written by some of the great female singer-songwriters of the modern era and this chorus of almost 200 women is prepped to set the Benaroya Hall stage on fire with tunes like, “Constant Craving” (k.d. lang), “Rumor Has It” (Adele), “Give Me One Reason” (Tracy Chapman), and “Natural Woman” (Carole King). Vicci Martinez, known for her rockin’ acoustic guitar and electrifying performances, will join the chorus on stage for a few songs and will showcase her impressive musical talents.

The evening continues with a FREE post-concert dance party in the Benaroya Hall lobby. DJ Stacey Cooks (The Original Timberline, The Cuff, Hotflash, and Girl 4 Girl) will spin ‘celebratory’ music from the ’70s to present day. The party continues until 1:00am. There will be a cash bar and all are welcome.

Tickets to the Seattle performance are $25-$65 and available at www.SeattleWomensChorus.org or via the phone at (206) 388-1400. The Seattle area box office is open Monday through Friday, Noon-7:00pm. Friends and Family Preview tickets ($10.00 each) are for February 2 at 8:00pm at the Renton IKEA Performing Arts Center located at 400 South Second Street, Renton, and do not include the appearance by Vicci Martinez. Preview concert tickets are available by calling the box office at (206) 388-1400 or at the door on the day of the Preview.
