Soundgarden is coming home.

One of the seminal bands that put the Pacific Northwest music scene on the map in the 1980s and 1990s, Soundgarden is bringing their Winter 2013 North American tour to Seattle. The band will play the Showbox on February 7 and 8.

Tickets go on sale on Saturday.

These are the first shows the band has played in Seattle since they reunited in 2010. The band’s new album, King Animal, will be released on Tuesday.

Soundgarden has already released a music video for “Been Away Too Long” – the first single from their new album.

Tickets for both shows go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. at LiveNation.com, Tickets.com, 24-hour kiosk at the Paramount Theatre or charge by phone (877) STG-4TIX. All tickets subject to applicable service charges and fees.
