It’s Veterans Day weekend and it’s not all about sales, here are activities to honor our vets:

Annual Veterans Day Parade & Observance 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Nov. 10, Main Street in downtown Auburn. Free. 253-931-3043, auburnwa.gov.

Brown Bear “Veterans Day Free Car Wash” 8 a.m. Nov. 11, Brown Bear Car Wash, 3002 S. 38th St., Tacoma. Free to current and former military personnel. 206-789-3700, go to brownbear.com for other participating locations.

Veterans Day Service
Sponsored by Tacoma Historical Society and American Legion Post 2, 2 p.m. Nov. 11, War Memorial Park, Sixth Avenue and MacArthur Street, Tacoma. Free.

Veterans Appreciation Day at Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium
7 p.m. Nov. 11, Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium, 5400 N. Pearl St., Tacoma. Free admission to former/active military and veterans. pdza.org.

Veterans Appreciation Day at Northwest Trek
